Plaid AM Nerys Evans welcomed the Pembrokeshire banner to the Senedd last Thursday. The event, hosted by Nerys, was the official launch of the Pembrokeshire banner that has been designed especially for the St. David's Day parade in Cardiff.
The banner was designed by Audrey Walker and Eirian Short.
Plaid AM Nerys Evans said: "I was very pleased to have the opportunity to host this event and offer my support to everybody that has worked so hard on this project. I'd like to congratulate the designers, Audrey Walker and Eirian Short, for their excellent work. Also I'd like to give a special mention to the Pembrokeshire Guild of Embroiderers for their dedication and to thank them for the long hours they have ve put in to make the banner.
"I'm sure that everybody who was present will acknowledge what a fantastic piece of work it is and I very much look forward to seeing the banner making its first outing in the National St. David's Day parade in Cardiff on March 1. I would urge everybody to attend the parade, not only to see the banner, but to join in the celebrations. Having a parade like this is a wonderful opportunity for us to get together and celebrate a very important day for us as a nation."
