The Young Otters saved their best performance of the season for the very last game in which they inflicted only the second league defeat of the season on the champions Crymych.
Narberth's performance was built, as it has been for most of the season, on a strong and aggressive blitz defence epitomised by the tackling of the two flankers, Rion Whatmore and Simon Griffiths, and man-of-the-match, outside-half Jack Parsells.
Despite having the lion's share of territory in the first half, Crymych never really threatened to break this defence and turned at half-time only 6-3 ahead, Narberth's points coming from a penalty from the boot of Sam Macnaughton.
After half-time, Narberth's lineout became more consistent and this provided a steady stream of possession to play with. Jack Parsell's distribution allowed centre Rory Bennett and fullback Gethin Salter to threaten consistently in frequent wide attacking moves.
Narberth's first try came, however, from continuing defensive pressure. A charged down kick in midfield was chased by number eight Richard Sharpe-Williams. He showed superb control to kick the ball forward and outpace the covering Crymych defence to score in the corner.
Narberth continued to play with increasing confidence and almost inevitably it was the combination of Rory Bennett and Gethin Salter in another wide attack which led to the second try - a really classy effort finished by Salter.
Despite Crymych's best efforts in the last 10 minutes they were unable to break the outstanding Narberth defence and it was the Otters who finished the stronger. This despite having played less than 48 hours previously in the 57-14 defeat of Neyland.
Coach Jonathan Chinn commented: "This performance was the perfect cap on a season in which the boys have made huge strides forward. "The attitude and efforts of the whole squad have been exemplary and they finished the season as probably the form side in the county. I hope the rest of the club are as proud of them as I am.
"I would also like to take the opportunity to thank our kit sponsors Young Bros, Alexander Partnership and South Carvan Holiday Park, whose contributions have been much appreciated."
