The Narberth Palestine Support Group's recent ‘Open Garden’ event drew crowds, raising over £3,000 for aid to Gaza and the West Bank.

The sun shone on the Group as they held the very successful fundraising event.

Local people and holidaymakers flocked in to explore Narberth’s beautiful ‘secret garden’ at the home of Sally and Nick Makepeace.

There was a vast range of delicious home made cakes to try, as well as a successful plant stall. People were also able to buy artworks from local artists.

Local businesses Happy Planet, Wisebuys, Fire and Ice, Span Arts, Matilda’s, Plantamica, Andrew Rees, Ultracomida, Fforc, Beautiful & Useful Things, Stopio and Narberth Museum all donated generous prizes for the raffle.

The event raised over £3,000 to go to medical and food aid for people in Gaza and the West Bank.

The Narberth Palestine Support Group began in April 2024 by a small group of people wanting to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and to educate themselves and others about the history and current situation of Palestine.

The group now has 47 members and has raised over £10,500 through open garden events, car boot sales, singing, film shows, sponsored walks and kite flying on local beaches.
