In excellent rugby playing conditions, a strong Narberth were more than a match for a Carmarthen Athletic team who never gave up. Captained by Jamie Holt, Narberth kicked off and straight away began to play attractive handling rugby. They were soon rewarded with a try when an overlap was created for William Boyde in the centre to run in. This was followed soon after with a second for Boyde following some good linkage from Adam Edwards at scrum-half. Iwan Bowen Rees picked up a try just before half-time when he gathered a loose ball and outstripped a covering Athletic defence. Narberth were even stronger in the second half and completely outplayed their opponents up front and in the backs. Boyde picked up two more tries when the forwards provided quick ball giving him space to run in wide out. James Coney also scored following a neat lineout move and Josh Helps touched down having made a 40-metre break. The best try of the game, though, was scored by Dylan Davies, who ran in from 30 metres following some great interplay between forwards and backs. In the forwards, all played strongly, with William Ebsworth, Tom Law, James Coney and Lloyd Delahunty, making his debut, featuring with their strong running. The backs distributed the ball well throughout and were very strong in defence. Boyde at centre had an outstanding game, as did Dylan Davies on the wing and Adam Edwards at scrum-half.
