A stunning exhibition of work from Ruth Sargeant opened on Saturday at Narberth's Oriel Q to great acclaim.

A floor installation in the small gallery, entitled Mother and Child United and made of surprising materials, is thought-provoking, calm and beautiful.

There are over 40 superbly crafted, textured, two dimensional abstract 'paintings' suggesting fragments of landscape, and a wall with over 100 small vessels made of porcelain with gold lustre on a Perspex shelf that allows the shadows to be part of the show.

The title of the show is Intimation.

This show would not look out of place in London, New York or Berlin. Oriel Q is so fortunate to have it here in Narberth.
