Pedal power was required for a charity event last Friday when members of the Narberth Dynamos step up to the challenge of cycling for 24 hours non-stop, covering the equivalent distance of a journey from Lands End to John O'Groats.
As part of Narberth Civic Week activities, Narberth Dynamos gave the Paul Sartori Foundation charity a welcome boost with their turbo cycling test, that started at 12 noon on Friday and finished a day later, when with a little help from the public, the distance of 874 miles was completed.
"A huge thanks goes to the people of Narberth for the huge support they gave us throughout the challenge, and to the Dynamos members that took part and the members of the public who joined in too," said Dynamos chairman Andrew Rees.
"We were shown great support right throughout the 24 hours, with people who were coming out of the pub during the early hours chucking money in our collection buckets," he added.
A tombola and raffle, with prizes kindly donated from local businesses, were also held as part of the event which raised £694 for the Paul Satori Foundation.
