The Narberth and District Darts League, in conjunction with the Gazelle Cup, recently held their annual event at Narberth RFC to raise money for a local charity. This year's excellent amount raised was £1,435, which was donated to local boy Leon Zak Williams, who suffers from cystic fibrosis. A total of 46 players entered on the day and produced some great darts, with Jim Williams from Tenby hitting a 12-darter, although missing his doubles eventually cost him a place in the final, losing to the eventual winner Kim Llewellyn. Llewellyn beat Jeff Jones in the climax to the event, overturning last year's result and this year's singles final. Furthest lady was once again Gilly Morris. Many thanks go to the following fund-raisers: N. and B. Concrete Services, Richard Morris, c/o the RFC and Dingle, Gillian Tucker, Sharon and the Ivy Bush, Melrose Kelly, c/o Parcylan and Paul and Sheree Morris. All the following contributed with raffle prizes or money: Angel Llan, Angel Narberth, Dragon, Lawrenny Arms, Parcylan, Plash, RAOB, Whitland Bowls, Maurice Cole, David Jenkins, Dominic Morris, Cheryl Jolly, Davies Daihatsu Eastgate Garage, Dyments, Guy Allum, Andrew Rees Butchers, G. Players are reminded that this Sunday sees the Parcylan £200 knockout, with a first prize guaranteed of £100. This year's charity is the local lifeboat with many raffle prizes on the day. Players are asked to register between 2 and 2.45 pm for a 3 pm start.
