First out of the hat is The Space Between the Years by John Scholes, where one night the 'Old Spotted Cow Hotel' is honoured by a visitor from Jupiter. But the Jupitarian authorities have blundered and sent him to the wrong Elizabethan age. He arrives in full Tudor costume...
Next up we find out what happens when Miss Pickhart - a lady from the council - visits Ratchet, an illusionist, at his home and discovers some dark and sinister secrets from his past. His wife, Rosalinda, it appears met with an untimely death as they performed the 'saw the woman in half' trick. A Cut in the Rates by Alan Ayckbourn, is classic Ayckbourn and achingly funny.
And, completing the trio, let's venture into the rabbit's cage to meet Bobby - a rabbit with most extraordinary powers. Anxious to complete yesterday's newspaper crossword, Frank finds the page missing. His mother Pam confesses to using it in the rabbit's cage. Extracting the paper, Frank is astonished to find the crossword completed. Could the rabbit, Bobby, be responsible? Not Bobby by N. J. Warburton concludes what promises to be a very funny evening indeed.
