St. Andrew's Church, Narberth, was the venue chosen for a charity concert given by Pembroke Male Choir and Whitland Male Voice Choir last July.

The charity chosen was KRUF, which is the Welsh kidney charity, and both choirs sang with enthusiasm for such a worthwhile cause.

Both the conductors, David Gwynne, of Pembroke, and Juliet Rossiter, of Whitland, had the opportunity to conduct the 70-strong joint choirs in several items. Both choirs also performed well in their own spot giving the audience an opportunity to savour the individuality of the choristers as well.

As a result of this very enjoyable event, a cheque for £400 was recently presented to KRUF by the chairman of Whitland Choir, Mr. Brynmore Thomas. Receiving the cheque and representing KRUF was Mrs. June Rees from Milford Haven Kidney Research Committee.

Also present at the presentation was Juliet Rossiter, conductor of Whitland, Frank Harris, Pembroke chairman, Phil Lloyd, secretary of Pembroke, Stan Phillips, secretary of Whitland, and Hefina Jones, accompanist at Whitland.

Unable to be present for this photo opportunity were Chris Lloyd, accompanist of Pembroke, and David Gwynne, conductor of Pembroke, who was on holiday at the time.
