A Narberth woman celebrating a milestone birthday is hoping that her favourite frontman will sing ‘A Million Love Songs’ to her to mark the occasion.
Singer Gary Barlow crashed weddings last year as a surprise, after being inundated with requests from fans. Now in 2016 he has pledged to ‘Take That and party’ and sing at milestone birthdays.
‘21, 30, 40, 60, 110 !!!!! I’ll come and sing at your party!’ the former X Factor judge has Tweeted, encouraging fans to campaign him.
One such fan, Jenny Owen, who lives in Narberth with her husband and four sons, has done just that with her Twitter campaign carrying the hashtag #barlowforjens40th
“I have always been a fan of Take That, but I’ve never been lucky enough to go to any of the tour concerts, so when I heard that Gary was going to choose milestone birthdays to sing at this year I just had to start a Twitter campaign to get him to mine,” she explained.
“I’m turning the big 40 in September and would love him to sing at mine. I have been dreading reaching 40, I didn’t want anyone to know, and didn’t want any fuss, especially not a party, but in my work place at the Narberth Spar on High Street, there are eight of us who have milestone birthdays this year, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 65, so this is one of the reasons I am using to encourage Gary to pick my party to attend.
“I’m keeping my fingers crossed and praying he will join me to celebrate my 40th birthday and make it one to remember. He could sing to eight milestone birthdays under one roof. How cool would that be!” she added.
Jenny hopes that members of the community in Pembrokeshire will follow her Twitter profile @littlejen40 and Tweet the Take That frontman @GaryBarlow with #barlowforjens40th to help her campaign out.
