In the A League, with the Dingle and Hean both winning, it's down to the last week as to who gets runners-up. Meanwhile, the Dragon B kept their hopes alive with a win over the White Horse. Both teams are now sweating on the last match.
Elsewhere, there were good wins for the RAOB A and the Bush, Robeston.
In the B League, the big game saw a win for the Alpha A at the Globe, although they still need to win their final game for promotion, while the Kirkland A became champions with a win at the Iron Duke. There were good wins for the KSSC B, while the Parcylan won again.
In the C League, a win for the Alpha B puts them close to promotion, but the Stanley Arms B will hope for an upset.
There was a good win for the RAOB Marauders against the Jeff B, two teams who both feel they should have been further up the league.
The county squad sadly went down to their first defeat of the season, 19 frames to 14, at home to Ceredigion, Aberystwyth, but are still currently second in the league on the same frame scores.
Next Thursday sees the all-important Finals Night at the RFC, with three tables in action. The following are asked to get there for a 7.30 pm start. They are the Over 40s, Ladies and last year's Landlords. All other finalists to be there by 8 pm.
