The Charity Cup competition, organised by the Costcutter-sponsored Narberth and Distirct Darts League, was played at Narberth Rugby Club on Friday, with proceeds in aid of the Aimee Williams Fund.

Disappointingly, there was a poo turnout of players, with only 27 entries on the night ,but with good support for the raffles approximately £250 was raised for the charity.

Winner of the darts competition was Stuart Hughes, of the Bowls Club, who kindly returned his prize to the fund. Runner-up was Lyndon Williams, Aimee's father, while best lady player was young Jemma Jones.

A raffle had been in operation for several weeks and the winners were Georgie, Elfyn Morgan, Malcolm Harries, Helen and Colin, Gerald Rogers and Nigel Hewitt.

Donations were received from John and Julie Mathias, Mansel and Carol Young and the Ironduke Inn.

Special thanks to Mike Thomas, Gillian Tucker, Sylvia Kilby, Eric Bates, Eddie Mutch and his staff at the Rugby Club and everyone who supported the raffle, not forgetting the hard working chairman, Wyn Phillips - and apologies to those who may not have been included.

Tonight (Friday), the doubles competition makes a start - best of luck to all.
