Narberth is still one of the most desirable places to live in the county. A total of 362 people are currently on a Pembrokeshire County Council waiting list for council properties in the town. "Last year, there was a turnover of seven properties," said Clr. Wynne Evans, the town's county council representative, who has had a meeting with the housing associations looking at possible building sites in the town. Clr. Evans now hopes that when the new housing system, Choice Homes Pembrokeshire, comes into operation, it will ease the situation.
