It’s no secret that some people will be going along to this weekend’s Narberth Food Festival just to enjoy the entertainment.

And this year’s friendly festival has got some great music on the menu.

With street food vendors and the licensed bar conveniently close to the covered stage, there’s every incentive to pull up a chair and savour some tuneful musical offerings in comfort.

The legendary Bob Fish - former lead singer of the 70s doo-wop revival band Darts - brings the mainly-Americana sounds from his new group, Black Ravens, to the festival tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

On this occasion, it will be a trio from the band taking to the stage as 3 Ravens. Alongside autoharp virtuoso and lead singer Bob will be fiddle player Holly Robinson and double bassist Sarah Kitson.

Holly is a fine and accomplished fiddle player with her roots in British folk and heavy metal, while Sarah has played double bass for 20 years in everything from chamber orchestras to rock bands.

They are looking forward to delivering a haunting, evocative and uplifting set to the appreciative Narberth audience, serving up a mix of bluegrass gospel, country, folk and rock.

Also lined up to perform are community choir, Singing for Fun; Platform 1, Lightship Duo, Carmarthen Ukeleles, Shanty le Hara; Fiddlebox, Matt Lloyd and Tough Love Duo.

Narberth Food Festival takes place on the Town Moor, Narberth, tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday (September 23 and 24). For more information, see www.narberthfoodfestival.com
