The Mayor of Tenby has recommended a visit to the latest exhibition at the town’s museum.

The new exhibition by Mark Raggett was officially opened at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery on Friday, featuring 56 works by the artist.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Mayor, Clr. Laurence Blackhall said he had attended the exhibution with the Mayoress and that it was “fabulously interesting.”

“Of course the beauty of Tenby Museum is that if you pay to go in, your ticket is valid for a year too!” he added.

Clr. Trevor Hallett also congratulated the museum on the exhibition which he too had seen.

The Mayor said that he had also been to a number of other functions recently, including a ceremony at the Tudor Merchants House, a fundraising dinner for the Arts Festival, Tenby Lions charter dinner, and the St. David’s mayor-making.

He had also ‘made an appearance’ from 6.30 am ‘til 6.15 pm, at St. Mary’s Church’s ‘garden party’ to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday recently, along with other town councillors.

“It was a lovely day and thank you to everyone who helped put the event together,” he remarked.
