Sir,
I would like to if possible pay tribute to a number of people who willingly gave assistance to my wife and myself on Monday, January 5, despite the risk to themselves.
Firstly to the two gentlemen who helped to get my wife into Ocky White's after a bad fall on ice. To the first aid team within the store and to the ambulance crew who got her safely into Withybush Hospital.
Next I would like to thank the two ladies who came to my assistance after I fell and broke my wrist at Withybush Retail car park. Again the ambulance crew, who were filling their vehicle with fuel, came to my assistance.
Lastly, to all the staff at A&E who, despite being under tremendous pressure, found time to see to a lot of unlucky people like ourselves. I cannot possibly miss out the fantastic effort of the whole team in Day Surgery who attended to my wrist. I can only offer my sincere thanks and praise the service they so willingly give and with a smile.
Whatever is said about the NHS in various locations, Withybush has a superb staff and deserve to know how greatly they are appreciated. Thanks once again.
