Nick Ainger MP congratulated local Traidcraft volunteers at Friday's 'Brew for a Better World Tea Party' held at The Haven Coffee Shop in Pembroke on Friday. Pictured are Yona Pusey, Audrey Rogers and Bea Sutton showing Mr. Ainger some of the 2,500 products now carrying the Fairtrade mark. Volunteers from Mount Pleasant Baptist Church were rushed off their feet serving up Fairtrade tea and coffee and participants were invited to take part in a Fairtrade quiz to win a Fairtrade hamper. Nicky Mallen, from Pembrokeshire-based development education centre, Global Connections, told Mr. Ainger how Fairtrade supporters were responding to the challenge of making Pembrokeshire a Fairtrade county. Nicky said: "At the close of Fairtrade Fortnight, it is so important that people don't see Fairtrade just as a one-off purchase, but as part of their everyday lifestyle and commitment to bringing about positive change for producers in poor communities worldwide."
