Back in March, organisers of Tenby Blues Festival (November 14-16) released details of the artists performing on the Saturday evening of this year's festival, which included the news that legendary Welsh musician (and Eric Clapton band member) Andy Fairweather Low was to be headlining. The full festival line-up has now been finalised and is available to view at http://www.tenbyblues.co.uk">www.tenbyblues.co.uk – and what a mouthwatering line-up it is. Friday's opening concert in the De Valence will feature Blues Boy Dan Owen, who is being mentored by none other than Fleetwood Mac's Mick Fleetwood, plus J Alexander and the Blues Devils (formed from arguably Wales' greatest ever R'n'B band Snatch It Back), plus blues rock trio Virgil and the Accelerators (pictured), who are one of the up and coming acts on the Blues circuit - Virgil won the 'Best Guitarist' category in the 2013 European Blues Awards. A new addition to the festival this year is the Friends of the Festival gig early on Friday night, to be held at the Fourcroft Hotel, which will feature Adam Franklin who plays old time blues on guitar and ukulele and has been described as a 'cross between Robert Johnson and Joe Strummer'! All the popular events remain, including the Rugby Club gigs, the Late Night Sessions, and of course the famous Blues Trail - a non-stop series of gigs in the cafes, clubs, and bars of Tenby from noon until late on both the Saturday and Sunday, with around 20 bands, duos and solo acts playing the full gamut of the blues, and a bit of jazz and Rock 'n' Roll thrown in for good measure.´ Tickets are now on sale, and range from £5 up to a reasonable £40 for a weekend ticket. They are expected to sell fast, so secure yours from the website – http://www.tenbyblues.co.uk">www.tenbyblues.co.uk.
