A 46-year-old woman from Monkton who had a history of health problems relating to obesity and illegal substance abuse, died of natural causes, the HM Coroner for Pembrokeshire said at an inquest yesterday (Thursday).
Jane Noble, of Haven Court, was found dead at her home on January 5 of this year, face down in bed.
Before moving to the area, having been born in Salisbury and later moving to Birmingham, she had spent most of her childhood in foster care and also spent time in prison.
She suffered from chronic back pain after suffering longstanding obesity problems and amphetamine abuse.
Miss Noble was due to undergo an operation to have a gastric band fitted to help with her obesity issues.
The pathologist's report into her death following the post mortem said that she had a high level of Dihydrocodeine in her blood, but levels not high enough to cause an overdose, and that it was likely that she had suffered congestive heart failure due to her health problems.
Pembrokeshire coroner, Mark Layton said at the inquest in Milford Haven that Miss Noble had passed away due to cardiorespiratory failure caused by her health problems, before recording a verdict of death by natural causes.
