Ami-Louise White from Haverfordwest was crowned Miss Pembrokeshire 2010 over the weekend in a glamorous ceremony held at the St. Peter's Civic Hall in Carmarthen.
The sell-out event, sponsored by the Dress-Stop in Cardiff and Victoria's Hair Salon in Carmarthen, saw 10 girls from around the region compete for the title.
Ami White, 17, who is a beauty student at Pembrokeshire College, said: "Winning Miss Pembrokeshire is a dream come true, I couldn't believe it at first, but it truly has been amazing!"
The two runners-up were Rebecca Hansen, 20, who is currently a door supervisor, and Kathleen Thomas, 19, a waitress in Tenby. The Public Vote winner for the event was Gabriella Hughes, 17, who is Horse Management student.
All contestants took part in three catwalk rounds, including a casual wear round, little black dress round and evening wear round in front of a panel of judges.
Tasked with choosing a winner were Carole Williams, Dress-Stop manager, Paula Abbandonato, director of Vibe, Mark Tancock, Mister Wales 2009, and Adrian Cornelius, representative of The Joshua Foundation.
Prior to the competition, the 16 girls raised over £2,400 for the competition's associated charity, The Joshua Foundation.
Ami-Louise, her runners-up and the public vote winner will continue to fund-raise for the charity in the lead up to the Miss Wales 2010 competition this summer. Last year, the Miss Wales competition raised £120,000 for The Joshua Foundation and organisers are hoping to do the same in 2010.
Paula Abbandonato, PR director of Vibe Models, said: "We are delighted with our winners and are thrilled about the money all of the girls raised for the charity. I'm sure that the girls will do Pembrokeshire proud at the final of Miss Wales next year and wish them the best of luck with their preparation and fund-raising."
