Milford Haven Town Council supports Paul Sartori Hospice at Home
Milford Haven Town Council has once again generously chosen to support Paul Sartori Hospice at Home following the submission of an application for financial assistance. The funding will contribute towards the ongoing costs of delivering vital day and night home nursing care to end of life patients in the Milford Haven area.
The Mayor of Milford Haven, Councillor William Elliott said: “It is a privilege for Milford Haven Town Council to be able to continue supporting this important and vital service, which provides much-needed care and reassurance to residents in our community at a time when it is most required.
“The work of Paul Sartori is incredibly important, and we thank them for all they do, not only for people in Milford Haven, but across the whole county.”
Paul Sartori Hospice at Home is a registered charity providing high-quality end-of-life care and a range of free services to individuals and families living in Pembrokeshire. Specialist clinical care, emotional support, and advice are available through an open referral system for patients, family members, and carers. Services are delivered to an exceptionally high standard, with many provided directly in patients’ own homes.
A cheque for £500 was presented to Judith Williams, Grant Development Officer at Paul Sartori Hospice at Home, by the Mayor of Milford Haven.
Judith said: “We are extremely grateful to Milford Haven Town Council and its councillors for their continued support. Donations such as this make a real difference locally, helping us to provide compassionate, dignified care to people in Milford Haven at end of life.
“Support from town and community councils not only enables us to sustain essential nursing services but also demonstrates a strong partnership between Paul Sartori and the communities we serve. We truly value this ongoing commitment.”
The Paul Sartori Nursing Team provides approximately 150 hours of care per month in the Milford Haven area. This contribution from Milford Haven Town Council will directly support local residents at the end of life, enabling them to remain at home and receive professional, compassionate care surrounded by their loved ones.
The charity offers a wide range of free services, including day and night home nursing care, equipment loans, complementary therapies, bereavement and counselling support, and future care planning - all aimed at maintaining dignity, comfort, and independence.
Families across Pembrokeshire facing an end-of-life diagnosis can benefit from the services provided by Paul Sartori Hospice at Home. However, as a charity, Paul Sartori relies heavily on the generosity and support of the local community to continue delivering these essential services.
Paul Sartori Hospice at Home is therefore encouraging all town and community councils across Pembrokeshire to consider supporting the charity, helping to ensure that high-quality end-of-life care remains available in every area of the county.
