The CF Mia Appeal will be reaching new heights later this month when a local sportswoman takes part in a sky dive to raise money for the charity.

Eighteen-year-old Michaela Bevan, of the Bridge Inn, Narberth, has signed up for a 13,000-foot sky dive in Cirencester on November 29 to raise money for the charity set up by Chris and Merrilee Phillips, of Templeton, whose eight-month-old daughter Mia has cystic fibrosis.

A sports enthusiast, Michaela has chosen the charity, which raises money to help fund research into cystic fibrosis, as she knows Mia and her mum, Merrilee.

Michaela, who works at Crymych Leisure Centre and plays hockey for Crymych and football for Tenby, will have just one hour's training before embarking on the challenge, which she says she is looking forward to.

Michaela is hoping to raise a substantial sum for the fund and sponsor forms are available at the Bridge Inn and Crymych Leisure Centre.
