December proved to be a great time to launch the ‘2022 Memory Tree’ for Saundersfoot.

The tree located alongside the seaside village’s harbour which can be decorated with memories and names of loved ones - is the fulfilment of the ambition of two local residents, Maggie Carter and Helen Roberts Jackson.

Former county councillor for Saundersfoot, Phil Baker, said: “This year, the tree sponsored and hosted by Saundersfoot Harbour Commision, is located on the forecourt of the Old Coal Office.

“Maggie is delighted with the tree in this location and is pictured with Viv Carter placing their memories.

“A huge thanks to Michael Davies, CEO at the Harbour and to Cllr Martyn Williams who is working with Saundersfoot Community Council to provide a tree in the Sensory Garden.

“Memory tags and pens are available alongside the tree, or please feel free to bring your own,” he added.
