As recently reported, six Sea Cadets from Tenby attended the International Fleet Review held in Portsmouth to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the battle of Trafalgar. The cadets, Leading Cadet Fecci, Ordinary Cadets Thomas and Markham and Cadets Lewis, Keohane and Turton, spent a very long day as guests of HMS Grafton. During their day on board they had the chance to see the whole fleet lined up in the Solent, tour the ship, and meet the crew, including the captain. In the afternoon they, along with the crew members, lined the decks for the steam past. Six ships, four from the UK, one from Australia and one from Canada, steamed in line astern through the fleet at 15 knots before cheering ships as they passed HMS Endurance. Following the ship's anchoring, they were ferried back to shore very tired, but full of the experiences of the day. On the way back to their overnight accommodation, at Westdown Camp, they had a chance to see Stonehenge. A very tired group travelled back to Tenby with many tales to tell other cadets and with memories that will stay with them for a long time.
