A public meeting is to be held in Tenby's De Valence Pavilion next Wednesday night for local people to have their say as to what facilities they wish the building to provide in the future.

A major re-vamp of the pavilion is being planned, with a team of architects from Pembroke Design having been appointed to come up with a feasibility study as to how the building can serve the community's needs in the 21st century.

Speaking at Tuesday's meeting of Tenby Town Council, the Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown, revealed that the chief architect now wanted to meet with the pavilion's users, potential users, local people and tourism operators to see what they wanted from the building.

"The architect wishes the whole town to be involved and as such a special public meeting will take place in the pavilion at 7.30 pm next Wednesday (January 29)," Clr. Mrs. Brown explained.
