Meet Tenby's new police chief!
And Inspector Kath Griffiths (pictured) is the first female police inspector to work out of the town's police station.
The 40-year-old officer comes to the town from divisional headquarters in Haverfordwest where she was stationed for six months.
Inspector Griffiths joined Dyfed Powys Police in 1993 after graduating from Aberystwyth University with a degree in American Studies.
She has worked in every division in the force, spending a number of years working in the development and training division, and becoming an inspector in 2004.
Inspector Griffiths says she is currently getting to know her colleagues at the police station and the area.
"Tenby is a safe and low crime area and I am relishing the role of community policing," she said.
"The Neighbourhood Policing Teams are doing a great job with their PACT meetings and surgeries and I wholeheartedly support them in their initiatives each month.
"This month, the Tenby priority is cracking down on underage drinking and I will be working with the team to sort out issues in relation to that."
Inspector Griffiths is married to Emyr, a detective constable in the public protection unit in Llanelli. They have two children, five-year-old Thomas and Hannah, two.
