Thirty-eight players entered the mid-week medal last Wednesday.

Played off the white boxes, the competition produced some excellent scoring, most notably by winner Matthew Moseley, who carded what must have been one of the best - if not the best - rounds of the year.

Already with a handicap of plus-one, his gross 64, nett 65, was three shots better than his nearest rival, while two others were a further three shots adrift.

Leading scores and prize winners were as follows: 1. Matthew Moseley 64-+1-65 (medal plus £40); 2. Ben Price 72-4-68 (£25); 3. William Beynon 84-13-71 (£16); 4. Paul Davies 91-20-71 (£10).

Twos: Paul Davies, Matthew Moseley, Paul Haley, Martin Pook, Chris Smith (£6.15 each).

Bag draw: V. James, D. Farley, D. Skyrme (£10.66 each).

Handicap changes: Bill Davies 15 to 16; John Gilman 17 to 18.
