On Saturday, June 6, at 7.30 pm in Ysgol Griffith Jones, Mayor of St. Clears, Clr. Mrs. Margaret Owen will give the signal for the dancing to begin at her charity ball.

This is the first time that the popular Mayor's charity ball has been held in St. Clears for 20 years. All the proceeds will be going to local charities and worthy causes.

Clr. Mrs Margaret Owen said: "Charity balls in St. Clears have always been great fun and reviving the popular Mayor's ball after so many years will help cheer people up when the national and global news is so gloomy.

" On top of this, local charities and good causes will benefit from everyone having a great time - which makes it a 'win, win' event!"

Dress for the evening is black tie or lounge suit. Dancing on the evening will be to the Merlinaires Big Band.
