Tenby's Mayor has ordered an urgent clean-up of the town's multi-storey car park.
Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane told her colleagues at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council that she was "absolutely appalled" by the multi-storey's condition.
"Having been there myself last week, I've never smelt or seen anything so disgusting in my life. I was mortified, and we're expecting people to come into our town and use the facility," she said, calling for a prompt site meeting with Pembrokeshire County Council officers.
Councillors also felt that with Sainsbury's now confirmed to take over at Somerfield next to the multi-storey, the new store may seek long term improvements to be made to the car park, including the introduction of a lift.
