A Pembrokeshire Mayor had his general knowledge put to the test when he recently appeared on a popular BBC One quiz show.

Mayor and Mayoress of Pembroke Dock, Clr. Andrew McNaughton and his wife Jane, featured on 'Pointless', the general knowledge quiz in which contestants try to come up with the answers that nobody else can think of, presented by comedian, actor and host, Alexander Armstrong.

The couple didn't manage to win any cash on the show, but enjoyed the experience.

The couple had auditioned for the show in November, travelling to London for filming in January.

"It was great fun," said Clr. McNaughton.

"The people behind the programme went overboard to make sure we were well looked after. It was amazing to see how it was made," he added.
