Earlier this week the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, and her Mace-bearer, John Morgan, visited the Abbey on Caldey Island where they met the Community.
A very productive meeting was had by all, culminating in tea and refreshments.
Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Lane said: “I have never seen the island looking so good and well-maintained. I am also delighted that the Red Squirrel population is thriving.
“Caldey is so important to the town of Tenby, and the Welsh Tourist Industry.’
Caldey’s Estate Manager, Ben Childs, commented: “The Community is very grateful to the Mayor of Tenby for continuing the close relationship between the island and Tenby.
“The Abbey feels very much a part of its neighbouring town,” he added.
