Span Arts presents The Braco Stoysin Trio on Thursday, May 18, at Plas Hyfryd Hotel, Narberth. Described as 'one of the most lyrical and original guitarists around today' by the Evening Standard, Branco Stoysin is known for creating beautiful, enthralling music laced with melodies from all over the world. Born in Yugoslavia and entirely self-taught, Branco began playing guitar at the age of 15 and soon developed a love of Balkan and Brazilian music and Jazz. In the 90s he set off to England with little more than his guitar, and has since become a fixture on the London and UK music scene. A highly regarded teacher at Goldsmith's College, London, Branco actively composes and performs solo, as well as appearing in various duos and with his new trio, which features Leslee Booth on six- string contra bass and percussionist Buster Birch. The trio have appeared on Sky TV's Arts World and BBC Radio 3's In Tune programme, as well as being regularly featured on Sarah Ward's show on Smooth FM. If you appreciate guitar music, Branco's mastery in this arena will leave you breathless. Make sure you catch this gig. Tickets £6/£5 are available from Span Arts on (01834) 869323. Doors open at 7.30 pm.
