The Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rzeszow, Poland, was the setting for the wedding of John-Aaron Ford Kicinski and Ewa Katarzyna Sondej on Saturday, September 5.

The groom, a police officer with Leicestershire Constabulary, is the son of John Kicinski and Joy Ford-Kicinski, of The Glebe, Tenby, and the grandson of the late Marjorie and Bert Ford.

The bride, a doctor at Aintree Hospital, Liverpool, is the daughter of Jerzy and Beata Sondej, of Rzeszow, Poland.

Bridesmaid and witness was the bride's friend, Dr. Monica Widlak.

Best men were Mr. Michael Cole (groom's cousin) and Mr. Sebastian Sondej (bride's brother), who also gave the first and second readings.

Family, friends and neighbours from Wales, England, Lithuania and Poland attended the ceremony to witness the couple happily unite their hearts, lives and cultures.

A reception followed at the Ostoya Country Manor in Rzeszow.

The couple are honeymooning in Mauritius.
