The wedding took place on June 21 at Four Seasons Hotel, Park Lane, London, of Miss Ruth Hay, an oil risk controller with Merrill Lynch, London, and Dr. Michael Nikolich, a quantitative analyst with Fixed Income, Morgan Stanley, London. The bride is the daughter of Jennifer and Roland Hay, of Tenby, while the groom is the son of Lesley and John Beards, of Rugby. Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless mermaid dress with pearl and silver beaded empire waist and grosgrain streamers. She carried a bouquet of white orchids. Bridesmaid was Ivy Lam, while Brett Saunderson was bridesman. Both are best friends from Imperial University. Ivy wore a lame green strapless cocktail dress with grosgrain ribbons. Brett wore a suit like the ushers which were dark grey tail coats with ivory satin waistcoats and cravats. Best man was Daniel Lister, friend from Imperial University. Ushers were Matthew Nikolich (brother) and Tim Johnson (school friend). The wedding ceremony was held in the ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel, and was followed by champagne reception and wedding breakfast in Garden Room at Four Seasons Hotel. The cake was made by Peggy Porschen, London. A band and DJ played whilst guests danced until early hours. The couple spent a two-week honeymoon at Desroches Island, The Seychelles. They will continue to live in Fulham, London.
