Married at the Nant-y-Ffin Hotel, Llandissilio, on Saturday, were James Albert Fretwell, and Wendy Margaret Davies.
The groom, a state registered nurse, is the eldest son of Albert and Alice Fretwell, while the bride, a self-employed domestic cleaner, is the only daughter of Leila and the late Hayden Davies, of Llandissilio.
Given in marriage by her brother, Clive Davies, the bride wore a warm white chiffon dress, with cream lace sleeves and matching tiara, while she carried a bouquet of soft pinks and cream roses.
Best man was the groom's brother, Ian Fretwell.
The ceremony was conducted by senior registrar, Mrs. Joy Walker.
Bridesmaids were Sarah (groom's daughter) and Hannah (bride's niece), while flower girl was Elin Haf (bride's niece).
A wedding reception and evening party were held at the Nant-y-Ffin Hotel.
The happy couple are honeymooning in the north of England and will make their home in Clarbeston Road.
