Tenby's inshore lifeboat crew rescued a 17-year-old man who got cut off by the tide on Sunday evening.

The man, who lives on a yacht at Neyland Marina, had arranged to meet three friends at Saundersfoot's Glen Beach and was sitting on a rock waiting for them when he got marooned by the fast incoming tide shortly before 9 pm.

When the friends, who were from Narberth, arrived, they raised the alarm and Tenby's inshore lifeboat and coastguard unit were tasked to the scene.

The man was picked up by the inshore crew and landed at Saundersfoot Harbour.
