Join staff at Tenby Library for reading and refreshments on Saturday, February 9, to celebrate National Libraries Day.
Between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm, library staff are inviting customers to come and celebrate a day to show why libraries are so valued by their communities.
Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals president Phil Bradley said: "In these times of austerity it is clear that libraries are needed and valued more than ever.
"Librarians in conjunction with their members are working hard to protect and improve their communities, to increase literacy levels, and to provide training and support in many areas, from learning about the internet to researching for a new job.
"National Libraries Day is an opportunity to celebrate everyone who works in a library, everyone who visits libraries, and to highlight to people who don't visit them exactly what they're missing out on."
National Libraries Day is a culmination of a week of celebrations across the UK to promote the importance of libraries. People are invited to visit, talk about and tweet about their local library and its importance to them and their community.
