The countdown has begun for this year's Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon and Barnardo's Cymru is urging its supporters to register as runners and get training for Wales's largest race and flagship running event in 2011. The event takes place on Sunday, October 16, and we are urging runners to guarantee their places early.
The Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon's official charity is Barnardo's, the nation's leading children's charity that helps vulnerable children turn their lives around.
We need your support to deliver our services to help children and young people who are either abused , vulnerable, neglected or living in poverty. We will support them, stand up for them and bring out the best in each and every child.
2010's Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon was a record-breaker, with over 15,000 registered runners, cheered on by over 18,000 spectators and TV programmes on S4C and Channel 4.
This year's event will be bigger and better than ever before. Please register now and help raise money for Barnardo's. Barnardo's Runners will receive a personalised running vest, specialist training advice, an invitation to a post-race reception and a free massage.
