Last Sunday, league action was resumed after many weeks of cancellations due to adverse weather conditions. Even so, this game was played at Haverfordwest Astroturf due to both home and away pitches being either snowbound or frozen.
Both teams started brightly enough, trying to play passing football and working hard, but after some stiff resistance by the Clarbeston ladies, Manorbier broke the deadlock with a deflected shot which beat the excellent goalkeeper, Toria Planner.
After the breakthrough, further goals came at regular intervals from a very strong Manorbier team, with Nadia Lawrence the leading scorer with five, followed by midfielders Stacey John (4), Amanda John (2), with Bethan Roberts and centre back Imelde Rossi completing the scoring to make it 14-0, in addition to having a very good game.
Angharad Jenkins, Katie Lee and Kirsty Fisher kept a tight hold in defence, restricting Clarbeston Road to very few chances.
Although this was a big score against them, Clarbeston Road battled throughout and deserve credit for never giving up.
