Tenby's inshore lifeboat and other rescue teams were called out when a 52-year-old man collapsed while out on a local fishing boat near Lydstep on Tuesday afternoon.

The man in question fell over on board the boat, banging his head on a metal cleat and knocking himself unconscious.

Milford Haven coastguards received a call from a lady on board the boat, who spoke to a doctor through an emergency connect call and was given the correct medical instructions on how to look after the unconscious man.

Tenby inshore lifeboat, the coastguard rescue team and a rescue helicopter from RAF Chivenor all attended the scene, while the air ambulance flew the gentleman to Withybush Hospital where he was recovering in a semi-conscious state.
