A local man was taken to hospital on Saturday night after injuring his leg.

Thirty-year-old Ivan Black, of Manorbier, broke his lower leg whilst at a party at Swan Lake Beach.

The emergency rescue services were called to the scene at approximately 7 pm, and they had hoped to evacuate the casualty by air.

However, the helicopter was diverted to an incident at Swansea and due to the deterioration of the man's temperature, paramedics thought it would be best if members of the Tenby and Manorbier coastguard units carried him up the cliff path on a stretcher to an awaiting ambulance.

He was then taken to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.
