A bilingual audience of over 50 people recently congregated at the Tabernacle on Main Street to share childhood memories of St. David's Day celebrations.

The event, a joint initiative of the Pembroke Story Heritage Project group and the Pembroke URC, was introduced by Nikki Anderson, with a display of traditional Welsh postcards, costumes and artefacts.

Molly Neate gave a live performance of Celtic tunes performed on the harp, and Rachel Jones and Georgia Roberts performed stirring solos of 'Calon Lan' and 'Sospan Fach', respectively.

The entire audience then joined in a 'stirring rendition' of the Welsh National Anthem, and to finish, the gentlemen broke into a few verses of Cwm Rhondda.

Tabernacle is open for worship every Sunday at 11 am, with an art club on Wednesday afternoons and historical displays on the final Thursday of every month.
