Make a resolution to help make a fundamental difference to the lives of vulnerable children and young people in Tenby by supporting the NSPCC in 2011.
Whatever your skills, talent and time available, the NSPCC is calling on people in Tenby to put them to good use to help support vital services such as ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline.
Julie Richards, local fund-raising manager, said: "There are so many ways you can help us help more children and young people in 2011. We have some great events taking place throughout the year. If one of your new year's resolutions is to get fit then look no further, or if you want something less physically demanding, how about a dress down at work day, or have you ever considered volunteering?"
For a physical and rewarding challenge how about taking part in one of the 11 hiking challenges across the UK - your nearest HACK (Hike Against Cruelty to Kids) is taking place on September 17 in Pembrokeshire.
For more details, please log on to nspcc.org.uk/hack or call 0203 188 3658. Why not enter with a team of friends or colleagues?
If a 20+ mile hike isn't your thing, join us for the ChildLine Challenge in Swansea in April. Or, for a less gruelling, but equally rewarding event, join one of our sponsored aerobathons at leisure centres in the area in February.
How about using your skills in one of the many volunteering roles on offer at the NSPCC?
Julie Richards added: "We also have plenty of opportunities for people to get involved that don't require a lot of exercise! We always need help at events to shake buckets and new volunteers for our local fund-raising groups. We also need people for our 'cheering teams' at sponsored events to boost the morale of those taking part to raise money for the NSPCC! Just a few hours at an event would help to make a huge difference."
Do something simple and easy, to help make a real difference to children - how about organising your own event in aid of the NSPCC?
