At their monthly meeting held last Tuesday at the Holyland Hotel, Pembroke, the Pembroke Committee for Macmillan Cancer Relief finalised arrangements for two charity events taking place during May. A Bridal and Evening Wear Fashion Show will be presented by Courtneys of St. Clairs on Wednesday, May 11, at 7.30 pm, at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel in Pembroke Dock. Tickets are £4 each and can be obtained from committee members or at the door. The bar will be available. A grand charity concert, entitled The Sounds of Wales, featuring the South Wales Male Choir and guest artists, will take place at The Follies Theatre, Folly Farm, Begelly, on Saturday, May 21, at 7.30 pm. This choir is the largest male choir in Wales and this is a rare opportunity for it to be heard in this area. Tickets are £8 each and can be obtained from Folly Farm, The Folly Farm Shop in Tenby, The Forget Me Not Flower Shop in Pembroke, committee members or from the box office on 01834 812731. Dates for your diary should include June 29, when a Fish Lunch will be held at Pembroke Town Hall during Pembroke Fish Week, and July 3, when the Annual Cream Tea will be held at Upton Castle.
