I am delighted that Macmillan Cancer Support will once again have a presence in Narberth thanks to the local fund-raising group which has been re-established.
Their fund-raising activities have proved vital to Macmillan over many years.
Macmillan funds Macmillan nurses, GP's and other health professionals, a cancer helpline, a youth helpline, as well as providing financial support and up-to-date cancer information to cancer patients and their families. By 2010 we aim to help everyone who is affected by cancer in the UK. None of this would be possible without the donations we receive from local schools, shops, offices and groups like the Friends of Macmillan - Narberth Group.
