As a part of their National Curriculum work, a group of Year 6 pupils from Golden Grove School-Ysgol Gelli Aur, Pembroke, recently made a visit to their local Asda shop in Pembroke Dock.

The pupils had been tasked with designing the contents of a lunchbox for school. Having met to discuss the desired contents, the pupils visited Asda to determine which items would be of most value, also taking in to account the need for a nutritionally balanced food.

The next part of the project will be to purchase the food for their boxes and to make up the box for that day.

After the visit, the pupils enjoyed some light refreshments provided by the staff at Asda.
