Two local fishermen had a lucky escape on Monday morning when their boat was capsized by a wave off Caldey Island.
Terry Thomas and Ian Richards were fishing on board the Hermann Arthur near Drift Rock, one-and-a-quarter miles off the monastic isle, when the vessel was upturned by the waves at approximately 11 am.
Both men were rescued from the sea by John Handicott, who went to their aid in the Stephen William.
The range boat Alexis also went to assist and towed the Hermann Arthur back to harbour.
