How delighted I am to have been once more elected as Mayor of our beautiful town.
I am looking forward to the year ahead and the many commitments the Town Council has. These include, gardens, Augustus Place, the town handyman, seasonal festivities, redevelopment of our play areas etc. But one of the largest is our De Valence Pavilion, which Tenby Town Council has supported through good and bad times for 35 years.
The De Valence Pavilion is a much-needed multi-functional community facility for the town and we have every intention of continuing our support within our remit, but this support is not solely down to the council, it also needs the support of the townspeople, so we can work together and promote Tenby as a great holiday resort and a vibrant community.
While the De Valence is running successfully, we have no powers or intentions to re-manage the De Valence affairs.
Finally, I was delighted by the numerous gifts of flowers, cards and words of encouragement and support.
I am very proud to be elected as 620th Mayor of Tenby and thank fellow councillors for their support and wish you all a very prosperous season.
