A Saundersfoot woman will be putting on her running shoes for a good cause on April 22, when she takes up the challenge of competing in this year's London Marathon, in aid of the RNIB. Lois Reed, of Trevayne Farm Caravan and Camping Park at Monkstone, chose the RNIB charity from her time after school when she volunteered for six months at Glamorgan University assisting students with visual impairments. "I became aware of the barriers people with poor or no sight face in their day to day lives," she explained. "I believe the RNIB is an excellent charity for helping people to work and live with their disability." Lois has to raise a minimum of £1,500, and has already managed to raise £650 so far. "One of my fund-raising activities has been exercising some local point-to–pointers (horses)," continued Lois.  "Training is going well, too. As well as long distance road running, I have been running the coastal path, beaches and also doing a spot of swimming," she added.
