The winter weather conspired against the Pembrokeshire football scene yet again last weekend as yet more matches were postponed due to frozen pitches.
Although the third round of the Tony Nackoneczynj Insurance Brokers WWFA Intermediate Cup took place, with some matches affected, most Pembrokeshire teams had already been knocked out, leaving the majority of teams with league matches to play.
Sadly, winter had other ideas and decided to cause enough problems for a good number of matches to be called off.
Narberth firsts had their home game against Hakin postponed, with Kilgetty also falling foul, while Pendine would have wished Lamphey was unplayable given their result as they went down 6-3.
Tenby's first team travelled to Neyland and come half time were cruising 3-0 thanks to goals by Mike Beynon, Daryl Mansbridge and Gareth Warlow, yet they only ended up winning 3-2.
Whether it was complacency or just a great comeback from Neyland remains to be seen, yet the home side certainly pushed the visitors in the closing stages.
St. Clears travelled to Camrose and would have been wishful of a result, yet they went down 3-1, with Gareth Griffiths's goal the only highlight in an otherwise dour display.
With just six points from 13 matches, the Saints need to string a run of results together and with more disruption looming due to the Christmas break, they will have to ensure they hit the New Year running.
Saundersfoot Sports took on high-flying Goodwick United seconds at home and ended up 3-2 winners.
Nick Cope and Geoff Marsh were on the button yet again as they both scored, with Gareth Hunt adding the Sports' third.
No such joy for Carew, however, as their home clash against St. Ishmaels was cancelled.
Narberth seconds played their first game in three weeks and showed few signs of rustiness as they won 2-1 away at Herbrandston seconds.
Ashley and Nigel Williams scored the goals for the Bluebirds' second string, thus securing their fifth win of the season.
Manorbier United took on Lawrenny and belied their lowly league position by defeating the visitors 3-1.
The home side were dominant throughout as James Hall, Dave Blackwell and Jake Webster found the back of the net.
Tenby seconds' home clash against Pembroke Boro was postponed, while Kilgetty seconds slipped to second from bottom in division four following their 3-2 defeat at home against their counterparts from Monkton Swifts.
Grant James scored twice for the Kingsmoor outfit, yet not even his presence could help stave off defeat as the result ensured Carew seconds overtook them in the league following their 5-1 win over St. Ishmaels.
Saundersfoot Sports' second team's away clash at Clarbeston Road was also called off, although St. Florence's match at home against Johnston seconds was not. They probably wished it was, though, given they lost 4-0!
Carew seconds had a fabulous win away at St. Ishmaels as they ran out 5-1 winners. Ceri Brace was the hero of the day by bagging a superb hat-trick as Dan Power and Tom Richards grabbed the other two goals between them.
In the second round of the division five cup, Lawrenny won 5-2 at home against Letterston. Wayne Callan scored twice for the home side, with Sam Mills, Tim Mills and James Buckle netting the others.
